, The Division 2 kicked off Year 5 Season 3: Vanguard. The season introduces new story content, including a Manhunt for a missing Agent, as well as new gear, two new Apparel Events, and a major update bringing gameplay improvements.
Manhunts this season will look a little different than previous iterations, as players are tasked with investigating four Places of Interest throughout New York City in search of a missing Agent. The story picks up where Reign of Fire left off, after the Black Tusk attack on the White House. After Agent Kelso goes to New York City to make sure the Haven settlement is still safe, she goes missing – and through the Manhunts, players track her down and discern her motivations and true allegiances. Vanguard will also feature two Apparel Events: Veiled Tactics, which will introduce ghillie suits to The Division 2 among new military tactical attire for players; and Last Resort, returning from Year 2 Season 3, will offer gear and outfits inspired by enemy factions of New York City.
The Vanguard Season Pass free track will include a new brand and gear set, exotic gloves, exotic pistol, named gear pieces and weapons, and three arm patches, while its premium track will include nine weapon skins, 10 gear dyes, two emotes, two vanity outfits, and one face mask. New cosmetic bundles will be added regularly to the store throughout the season as well.
The new season also introduces Project Resolve, which is a quality and stability update designed to improve the gameplay experience. Project Resolve includes 2,000 bug fixes; numerous connectivity improvements that will reduce latency, crashes, and disconnects; improved PvP balancing; a new Tinkering menu that combines and redesigns the Recalibration and Optimization stations; a complete balancing pass on all in-game weapons; and much more.
The Division 2 is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Amazon Luna, and PC through Ubisoft Connect. It is available for purchase at the Ubisoft Store, and is playable with a Ubisoft+ Premium subscription.
