Intro

0:00you’re now listening tail you are now listening to the wrong agenda podcaster

0:05wrong again the podcast with just down boy [Music]Welcome

0:24come back to the wrong the podcast it’s your boy just Dale I’m

0:30here with my co-host og leek and we got musical sensation in the building today

0:36how about you shot yourself I’ll tell anybody who you are with your bout what’s up y’all man i’m somatic i also

0:43want to stand from growing up hip hop and soon to be son-in-law of peplum so

0:49Deborah Trish from Naughty by Nature man and Beyonce to Egypt Chris the princess

0:56out out to Egypt of course so let’s jump

1:02right on into it give me your best questions man I’m ready ready we’re gonna go too deep but

1:08we go and we go just go a little um let’s start where you from man would you grow up at so I warned Washington stateWhere did you grow up

1:15I was born in Tacoma Washington and I was raised there for you know up to my

1:20teenage years and then uh you know my family they divorced so I ended up

1:26jumping around and doing my own thing ended up in the Southside Chicago and that’s where I pretty much grew as a man

1:32I grew into a man in Chicago and that’s where you know it’s a different ballgame so yeah I was I mean I think it was like

1:39when I hit my twenties I ended up in California you know the resurfaced with my dad because my dad had moved to

1:45California imam muda Texas well sister wasn’t so I was just like left

1:50Washington so I was like ah go found out

1:57it was real life out there oh yeah yeah survived likely lucky not survived in

2:05now I’m out here in Las Vegas man Vegas way don’t let all that moving around and

2:13you know what kind of music was you into growing up oh manWhat kind of music was you into

2:19you won’t believe it I’m actually I grew up off Prince my dad is a big man I’m a

2:25big president my son’s name is Prince with Prince Andre so dig I mean more

2:34stay in a time and a lot of the real musicians Michael Jackson

2:40and it wasn’t until I started getting older like I want to say like going into you know middle of ministry school I got

2:47in the pock on the very big [ __ ] fan oh yeah my dad he’s like a DJ Quik every

2:52morning so I got a fella Romain’s and then as I got you know to about middle

2:59school years I fell into naughty by nature on pepper you know I started you

3:05know really getting into the real sound you know what I’m saying a lot of when

3:10people would say is I was an 80s baby I’m all born in the nineties but I grew up like eighties baby okay

3:17same here same in man so you ain’t alone with that wait it with you where do you

3:25feel like is your hometown like do you miss any of these places not at you in Vegas cuz that’s like you know some

3:31death I definitely are not a lot of love for Chicago man got a lotta love for ChicagoHow long have you been doing music

3:38out there it’s a different environment and a lot of people think that like

3:45don’t get me wrong Chicago’s brutal it’s very but it’s blunt and it really

3:51can mold you with you if you’re willing to understand the politics and the mindset and stuff so I got a lotta love

3:57of Chicago most definitely how long have you been doing music personally like how long have you been

4:03on your journey so growing up my dad and his brothers they actually they used to

4:09open up for troop you know in Nirvana they used to work like you know lighter

4:15shade of brown that grown up he was he was on a roll with this thing and I’m

4:21begging him he would his brother got growing up but my dad and were too stupid to realize they did he wanted to

4:28break up the band the only one in my uncle James and my dad so they were like nah man you can’t take the bed

4:35okay so growing up I grew up doing music

4:42I wrote my first song when I was in second grade was trash what would John

4:48what John Rowe was that song what was my first time rapping

4:53and okay okay it was back when all the littles were coming out ironically so

5:00today a little bow a little Romeo and I called myself you know I’m only like

5:06what seven eight years I’d call myself a little Smackdown and then I wasn’t until

5:14I think I hit middle school I was uh like seventh grade I actually picked the

5:20mic up and really started to try to take it seriously and that’s when I went from a little smack down there he’s called me

5:27beast because I was always so aggressive when I wrapped it was an aggressive person so so basically yes I’m doing

5:34this it’s all about seven years old I’ve

5:41been doing it so do you play like instrument system like that my dad was aDo you play instruments

5:46drummer growing up so I learned drums at a young age and then uh I I played music

5:52different than most like I don’t know what I’m doing I feel what I’m doing so I can pick up a guitar just depending on

5:59where we’re at what’s going on I could pick up a guitar and I can start to strumming gear and how to read music and but mostly drums was kind of my game

6:08plan and it sucks because everybody in my family was really good at [ __ ] line instruments and stuff right uh-huh

6:13but I could never play so I earned it I started with you the ultimate crap I

6:18learned how to beatbox so it’d be like do this do this and then

6:25I was like okay I don’t need to learn no instruments name I know how to just tell you so studio session

6:36what’s the bombs like in a studio with you everybody hates me would you be dumbWhats the studio like

6:45and Lu Bu be violent okay so like everybody likes get [ __ ] up in the studio and I’m down for the most part

6:53but I we heard everybody like to dim the lights and [ __ ] I have to lab the lights as bright as it could be in there that

6:59has to be like like bright you see your project man you got to see what you don’t have been in Oh

7:06lights and then I’m high intensity I’m like I have to do this Darwin Oh try

7:11this to them before I sit there like no mana you just told me the first thing to do hold on hold on mama I’m aria hurry

7:17up let’s go like I want to go for people they hate like Egypt hates being in the

7:23studio like when we’re doing a track together like a coal she hates me the studio with me because I’m quick and

7:29we’ll one take Timmy if not like three you know I’m saying like I’m Barry I know my voice I know my setup I know my

7:35equipment so I know what I’m doing Egypt on the other hand she wants to like wrap

7:41the whole verse piece by piece all right I’ll kind of go go go go go as

7:52long as definitely it’s a high intensity studio system and it’s very high intensity so I’m guessing you like to

7:58you like to write your stuff and just go and be ready or like I’m very good likeWriting

8:06as far as like my my notes I have like over a thousand like 1500 notes my phone and I write constantly so like I’m using

8:13their children I’ll start writing something in or there’s somebody’s mean

8:19that go with things and then on top of that it’s like I don’t know man it just

8:24depends the session it depends who’s in the rule like my energy in the room like if you’re a person who’s like wants to

8:30go to sleep or you want to get high and just chill I can’t be around I’m taking the [ __ ] out oh my god unless you smoke the

8:37[ __ ] that even in this bugle attire

8:44imma start you can’t are gonna see you tired it’s like it’s crazy like when we were in LA class we did meet my boys

8:50beat at a thirty two hour sessions straight one hour yeah three of our

8:57homies were producers and we went and we start at the first studio and we did an eight-hour session then we had like the

9:04hour to to get to the next studio and we did 12 hours free and we literally have producers sleeping in the other room

9:11that gotta go they’re sleepy they go sleep and then when a producer we get tired we wake the techs one [ __ ] up and

9:16they wear a rotation and we were going I lose my voice like my voice was hoarse

9:22and I’m still gone we did like six seven tracks men and we were going in like

9:28full bodies track from scratch from the beat into the vocals to the layers and

9:33the stacks like we build straight up so we go hard real hard that’s what’s up man that’s and I noticed like I’ve been

9:41doing engineering for a long time I know how those long sessions could go man from the engineer side I know what it’s

9:47like sitting there like and then if you got those guys in there who’s just stay out of it but you know just punch me

9:53just punch me I’m like come on man you can do it just do it called raw and

10:00you’ll hear in the beginning of the song I said and you’re here in the background yeah I

10:09think I heard that I heard that way yeah we don’t got out of prison and he was

10:17out days he lived in Washington I flew him in he made that beat in literally 20

10:22minutes whoa the last two years I was a

10:27guy running and right when you drop it in I was like oh yeah let’s go let’s go

10:34we went to the studio the next day and that’s the first thing you said we don’t punch him straight we straight

10:40just spit that’s how you do it youLabels

10:46currently with a label are you looking are you trying to stay in the pan there what’s going on your situation I see

10:54what the truth I mean as much as much as you talk about I was actually turned

11:03down from two labels two very very labels for being on Rona PIPA they and

11:11he said that my name had been dragged me in the mud a lot which it is because if you look at the show I’m you can see I

11:17weren’t here like that I’m not I’m not letting people see me on TV to be like you know the show is a show we’re here

11:23to entertain you guys you know yeah dragged in the mud so tough that they didn’t know if they had the time to pull

11:30me out and actually but all on video because I went initiative in the labels that I was on I was supposed to be getting signed to

11:37Atlantic Records and dreamville I was supposed to be part of the dream Bale camp and they literally like I I wore a

11:43mask in everything for the audition because I didn’t want to know it was me I wanted them to judge me just off the

11:48music and then dude was hey wait a minute I’m hoping man if the labels got

12:01that if they’re ready to really push I’m not gonna that’s a bougie but I’m a priority if you got time to a priority

12:06artist who’s going to really bring it yes I’m in the labels man let’s make

12:12some money let me make you guys let’s have fun instead of two or like you know I got my own bin you clean live music on my show

12:18yeah it’s supposed to be made like if you see this puzzle you’ll see man my DJ

12:26spins nothing but Magnum we’re we’re worth scratching records we’re really doing our [ __ ] when we happen to rumor

12:32or like we have a drum prodigy-man Tom Trump killer man he’s only 18 years old and this kid is like the next John

12:39blackwell bro he’s phenomenal killer

12:46yeah shout out to him for actually being able to do it at 18 you guys some of his

12:55covers and you’ll see he’s skids got juice definitely definitely just want toWho do you work with

13:00make sure you’re not gonna get in trouble for saying who you with labels you want to talk to ask if they want

13:08just a lot of people they they don’t believe a lot of things a lot of guys they go and they say that they’d work

13:14with these labels of these patents opportunity and I understand some people got fake it so they Nicki you know I’ve

13:20been in prison before I’ve been around people like that I’m like ah get it I understand what you’re doing here but me

13:25actually up that shows you know I’m actually being a fun to work with me and then finding out that a man here on the

13:33show ah you know I like I can’t be mad at him you know it doesn’t hurt my feeling and

13:40the day I’m honestly I feel like if there’s any label I belong to I belong to imminent label just being

13:48I mean I believe that if you really listen to my music in my art in my craft

13:53you know Eminem is a big fan of Treach you know and I’m a big fan in we all

13:59kind of cycle in there and if you listen to my delivery patterns I definitely got a lot of their you know energy on my

14:05record I could definitely see that there so one of your videos you drop recentlyWhat did you get in the casket

14:14I just want to know like what what what the hell possessed you to get in the casket man Oh chef hey James yes yes –

14:23it was crazy it was yeah I honestly I’m not gonna lie that was like the scariest

14:29thing I ever did believe it or not I’m from the block understand there’s a lot

14:37of people they look at the casket me see it as death and I didn’t want people to see what I was going through his death I

14:43want people to see me as I’m what you see the casket as the caterpillar goes to his cocoon and flourishes out to fly

14:51that is the beauty the full form so I won’t really bring out because I weren’t

14:56actually wrote and directed that with Dana rice we I wrote up the idea and he brought it to life in an amazing way

15:02video that was exactly my next question like yeah I’ll come up with these ideas

15:08or do you have somebody else that you know me so that’s my guys yo what is and

15:19they’ll be like yeah yeah do that this

15:31guy is a real entertainer he’s a real you know he’s the real deal yeah I was wondering that too about the

15:37videos watch and do your videos and I’m just like man these concepts and this I’m like it feels like used so it’s not

15:44you know it’s someone close to you I can I love these hands on with everything

15:50like you know and I appreciate that I just try to respect the art because if

15:56you if you look at it nobody can understand a video you get only people who are just going throw the song you know a director and

16:04he thinks of this dope concept and it’s like yes you’re those dopes you know it’s cool but there’s nothing that

16:09sentimental to it there’s no there’s no value like if you notice the second video I just recently dropped those

16:16videos were done in the same day we did two music videos in one day direct art

16:21and off in the church did the video chimp dreams then I week this little week we started from 12 to 8 in the

16:29morning so noon to 8:00 at night then we like went from 8 o’clock so one of the more and did another driver that’s not

16:37working for over working that’s work one

16:44thing everybody is like don’t do I do a lot everybody thinks you don’t do I

16:52could definitely understand that so who do you listen to now alright so but I’mWho do you listen to

17:08a big fan of ski mask very big fan of ski mask I like Michael cuz he’s

17:15different no there’s nobody his own visuals is on

17:20Wingo every dope Oh xxx fan as well unfortunately man may he rest in peace

17:26right or me you know I’m a big fan but if I had to say somebody that I’m

17:33constantly listening to men it would be it would be my brothers in my team you

17:38know we work a lot my brother is a Duany and he’s our money records he’s he’s the

17:46one who molded me he’s the one who created this guy taking his studio when

17:52I was younger and all his boys be around the baby the clan man yeah you know and

17:58cuz I am affiliated unfortunately can’t can’t step on Southside without being that I’m the baby of the corner so he

18:04taking his studio he be like yeah man you got three takes oh you ain’t getting on the track and now we’re watching you

18:12can’t he kept real with you I’ll take a 1520 I turned

18:25my pin into a damn weapon at that point I was like there’s no way I’m not making

18:30this track a lot and I also am working

18:40with my you know my my right-hand man he’s a nothing artist man we call him my and he’s he’s the next level dude he’s

18:48like he’s like fora with a little bit more gangster you understand he’s gonna

18:53be dope you guys got watch for him we got some dope tracks coming out he’s really he’s gonna do some great things man it’s really great things definitely

19:00definitely so I know you you talked about the whole label you know that how else would youHow Hip Hop impacted your life

19:08say growing up hip hop impacted your life [ __ ] I met a lot of people that hated me

19:15when I was younger and now they love me find out what friends would like quake

19:22it actually helped a lot rekindling with my family though you know we all live in

19:29different places I live in Vegas my sister she lived in Cali she just moved to Texas where my mom is but you know my

19:37dad he lives in Cali but we were all real dispersed out we all con do their own thing so us a lot because you know I

19:45would they would call and check on me and that’s more if I’m okay stuff like that you know it brought a lot of us closer it’s impacted a lot of

19:53negative [ __ ] I will say that a lot of people they think they know me they they think that I’m a deadbeat dad but my

20:00kids man that my kids love the [ __ ] out of me I love them I’m doing all this for my kids I swear cause nothing so when

20:08people talk it’s it’s all right you know I’ve met a lot of cool people I got a lot of love and respect for eazy-e you

20:15know D jr. that is that is one genuine [ __ ] right there man that dude’s

20:21got one of the biggest heart thing you know he really he’s taught me a lot you know

20:27they took any time oh yeah he always shows up he’s very proud of my work and

20:34I’m very honored to just be you know call the friends to the guy he’s very very amazing and then trench and Pat

20:40they’re they’re the most focused people ever like you think like you and you see people growing up you like they probably

20:48[ __ ] I mean no offense to Treach but

20:53he’s kind of you know you don’t think you just got to change like an actual

21:00basis Treach is one of the most realistic in

21:05world he’s so like this guy if you asked me like a few of us we’re not even from this damn planet cuz we really just keep

21:11it rolling do what we do like freshest [ __ ] and coached me through some of the toughest times I’ve had on growing up hip hop

21:18along with pet they bein legit are this real man they they’ll tell you what it

21:24is and anyone will hurt your feelings nothing should they just tell you what the [ __ ] it is man and you hear him

21:31talking just like yo children you know

21:44so it’s done I’ll life a lot and but a most part meant Egypt is changed my life

21:50more than anybody you know I was very rough individual when I met her you know I was drinking I was drinking

21:57to 3/5 a day straight row and I’m like – I was on for [ __ ] my little kid – the

22:03bullet that was gang banging tough I mean he was down up and down North

22:10Hollywood for $10 bro like is it pay what they owe [ __ ] call me

22:17leavin soon bro omits the money but they I mean it used to take a second a lot of money so he’s ready just ready to go

22:36that’s the line and across the lobby

22:52she tamed the Beast she Jamie Jean she taught me a lot you always meet that one

23:00that’s continuing in the right direction to keep you straight you know arts cake

23:09she’s the only person like in real life

23:32[Laughter] I’m gonna take that need to say that he

23:45was talking to me that’s what’s up man

23:54definitely love y’all together man that’s that’s dope definitely got some good I just wanted to ask you know cuzDo you let your kids watch the show

24:08the way this show kind of portrays everything do you let your kids watch you on TV you let them watch the show no

24:19we have we have to tweet you have to tweet live why we watch the show right and that’s it’s funny how did you get

24:25some people who are really entertaining to like just argue with Authority like yeah but my son I never let him watch at

24:33least I don’t let him watch with like the volume on you know I say yeah get

24:39that idea that I’m a bad guy or anything like that because he only as a hero you

24:45know I work hard or him and love them to death you know other things so I don’t

24:50like them watching the show because they know why but my son is he’s

24:56a very very unique boy he’s he’s very in tune with everything that’s going on so he he’s watching it and he still knows

25:03what’s going on you ask me questions and they’ll be like who’s that pepper right

25:10there or he’ll be like dad we should fight him I’ve ever met my son for

25:24California mask that’s where he’s promised his DNA says

25:38crazy and part of the same time me everything that I wish that could have been even at that age he’s already so

25:44much better than me that’s what’s up man that’s I’m happy with you with that man

25:51I’m glad that you doing a good father think so this whole thing cuz you know ISam is the bad guy

25:57watch the show and I’m pretty I’m caught up now I’m all the way caught up and I’m

26:02just like I don’t even know I don’t even know if this is a question but this whole Sam is the bad guy narrative it’s

26:11just crazy how it comes across but I watch and just from the edits in my perspective I’m like well what did he

26:18really do like what does he do it where the camera’s not filming hit that everyone just thinks he’s such a bad guy

26:23cuz really in what we see I don’t really see anything that was you know

26:30I’ll tell you there’s been times well like I don’t know if you watch the episode near Egypt was getting ready to

26:37go to Dallas yeah I was playing the victim point yeah okay TV wasn’t even on

26:47they’re like they’re gonna do something and look like it be productive so I

26:52rabbit controller and I’m like so they

26:59get certain edits out of me man like like breasts I could say [ __ ] you to somebody else and

27:04put it on somebody else that doesn’t have no problem yeah I could make it look like a conflict yeah

27:10they raise the carpets up they do a great job I swear I said I love what I do I also hate it but it’s Ackerson a blessing to do what I do but if you want

27:17to know what I really really do man on a daily basis or people that people don’t

27:23know is I wake up in the morning my first inning you know I’m praying I’m glad I’m well but you know what I’m

27:28saying from there I go down I mean my grooms we link up and I hit the studio

27:33we got studio in the crib and I’m like yeah let’s go sound of work you know we got got boards on the wall you know like

27:39you can see there’s one Jaime we’re

27:48supposed to be doing for the day vision board type thing yeah things we do so I

27:54go to walk out the gate from the minute I wake up to the minute I sleep and throughout the day if I’m not in a

28:00studio I’m cooking age of something making sure she eats I’m going through

28:07pulling brand ambassador moves for her to get you know three clothes get paid gig stuff like that

28:12and I’m whining you know and the hard part is people don’t want to admit that

28:18I’m as talented as I am but I actually make my music I actually make a decent penny off of what I do so a lot of

28:26people they think that I don’t work I think I’ve never worked but I’ve worked so many jobs and I almost had a big

28:33lawsuit with pen Express because my hangers they gave me had chemicals that

28:38they had me used when I was I was struggling certain stuff because these made me scrub the building on outside on some racial [ __ ] but I like that’s crazy

28:47and my hand started to disintegrate like my right hand I had no fingerprints apart from the stuff that they had using

28:54it they dissolve my shoe so I was a very hard worker when I met Egypt I had a job

29:00working and a restaurant that it ended up being closed down just due to a change of owners and stuff like that

29:07so I work I work now with music so a lot of people just think that I don’t work

29:12and I just sit at home and I live off mama pip and all them but they forgive I want a TV show

29:18just like your yeah you grindin right that’s trust me that’s a part that could

29:25started confusing me I just recently started seeing this what does Sam do stuff and I’m like I mean he’s doing a

29:32lot more than a lot of people I can see I mean I went from making you know a

29:39decent amount like you know average 11,000 12,000 a year you know regular

29:44working 9 to 5 job status you know to make it a lot more and it’s like like I

29:50pretty much like I said I’ll say this without say my mom I doubled what I made back then he’s you know what I’m saying

29:57and I do everything legal so when people are always as you question I just look almost like dude you think I do this for

30:03free you think I look this bad for free and I understand their business but you

30:11know you people can see the results of your work but they just don’t think ofIm broke

30:16it that way you know they see it as I pay for that or eg pay for that but if

30:22you want to know like if what the rugs groose about tell you bro I’m broke for one reason and I want you hear me yeah

30:29I’m broke not because I don’t have money on broke because I pay all my [ __ ] off I don’t

30:37give my own hat like my money that I make goes to pay my child support and keeping up with the payments so when you

30:44make money they make you pay more money child support every month cuz me and Egypt we live together in a very be nice

30:51beautiful house and Vegas every time I get my check know my woman makes triple that I make when we eat you get a check

30:57I give her half my check off the junk this is just baby here put it towards

31:03either the rent whatever we feel you know put it towards that and I’ll tell you man I make twenty five hundred

31:08episode half of that gone mmm right out

31:13together then that other $1,500 I got 500 boom out the gate child support and

31:20make sure that’s paid off and up to date that last I’ve got I spend about four hundred of the bed just by my girls sexy

31:26[ __ ]

31:32I’ll go and I like the shop there so I go buy my girl clothes and even my team will tell you out of all the money I get

31:39maybe $200 I spend on myself the rest of it i buy my [ __ ] clothes I buy my girl

31:45clothes I make sure all suited and booted and ready to go when we’re going out I invest there I buy out my leases

31:51from music so everything’s legal I pay for all my stuff to make it so when I

31:57say I’m broke I’m broke like I take care when I gotta take care of as a man why

32:02everybody good what I do I take care I ain’t got no money in the bank cause why I paid everything I’m supposed to pay as

32:08an adult don’t mean I’m still respect that daughter or son I’m making my own

32:16way and I’m paying my way with what I get and you know hopefully one day I make it’s coming I can respect that

32:29trust me we we’ve been on the ground we’ve been grinding especially with this podcast and you know May comes it’s hardIts hard

32:38it’s hard I’m not gonna say as easy as definitely hard in [ __ ] we work and we

32:43trying to get – we all try to get it I mean come easy ain’t workin that’s Rob

32:51Lowe there you go Riaan industry all the stupid [ __ ] I used to do I learn as fast as we made that money it’s just faster

32:57than one goes out the door you know what I’m saying now my money stretches come

33:03take care of I got a nice home I got a studio I got I got all the things that I want that’s all my dressing I work this

33:09show as long as we have to whatever whatever as long as I wake up in the morning to make music and us be good and

33:16taken care of as far as me and her take care of each other more so me doing my

33:22part I’m happy and content man I don’t gotta have millions of dollars like if you gave me a million dollars right now

33:28I’ll tell you it would be gone so fast because I just gave it a litera you

33:35ain’t mom here’s a here’s a hundred thousand hey bruh go get you a house did you call in

33:41my kids here 50/50 each like I’m that type of individual you know I said I

33:47don’t really care for the money in the only two hundred thousand I probably keep myself I invested in a bunch of

33:52[ __ ] to make a lot more money and be children you know that’s how you do it so I think I’m I’m an advocate and I tryGrowing up Hip Hop

34:00to push this whenever I can when I do talk about growing up hip hop and things like that and you’ve probably seen me I

34:07catch you on live sometime and I always push the salmon Egypt show can we get

34:12how do we get that started so we’ve been talking and there’s a few

34:19things and it works that I cannot can speak upon they’re not green-lighted yet okay I can tell you some things that

34:26we’re working on that I’ve wrote and pitch to the the network that we’re gonna get together I pitched the grown

34:32up hip hop to it I believe and we went we took everybody grew up in New York

34:39growing up hip-hop ballet going Amina and we take the heavy the people are

34:44really just doing music cuz you know Angela they don’t do music like that easy does music JoJo’s pushing his music

34:53rookies PJ and doing some histories and we got Bow Wow over there he’s trying to

34:58pull come back I’m just saying you know

35:04I’m saying o out there in New York yes he’s a good

35:11he’s a good friend of the show dance in his dog yeah I was like bro let’s go in and put us all on a tour for 30 days and

35:20Bill no [ __ ] thing yes and I think you got it all on in their ass

35:26well could you imagine do you know how many of us will find out who sinks or swims you’ll find out who’s really meant

35:32to be an artist who really comes prepared who stutters who gets [ __ ] up on the bus how many talking under

35:40somebody 30 days straight just sitting there like you know how many fights you can eat this is like make us bad the

35:46American Idol meets [ __ ] growing up hip hop all in one can you say drama

35:53amen can you say find out who was really here for the music who’s really gonna be

35:59the fan favorite who can entertain you know that sounds like yeah when I there

36:06that’s definitely a don’t do that it’s an amazing idea you know how people going hard trust man yo is a sellout

36:16it’s gonna somehow crazy that’s gonna pre sellout probably the first what week of it being announced and we do it every

36:23month the time it’ll sell out just due to the simple fact everybody has that question their parents were such are they just as

36:31great or greater yeah find out what’s

36:36their stage present like are they are they really is this really a prized bloodline is Egypt Chris really going to

36:42have star power like Treach and Penn oh yes she has a lot to live up to

36:49yeah hey that sounds like a great idea I hope that comes into fruition I hope you

36:55get Medusa credits on it or whatever you need on there yeah I’m rooting for you

37:01man I’m room for that I’m room for it to spin off oh I want to see it all have

37:08fun in Egypt spin off is very entertaining trust me we we were very we

37:15do some wild [ __ ] yeah I could believe it have you ever thought about likeActing

37:20going into like acting acting because I see in your videos and stuff you got a lot of character going on you know I

37:26have I have I’ve thought about it in this is the thing there’s a secret about

37:32Asian people really don’t know everybody thinks Egypt wants to be like her parents which don’t get me wrong Egypt wouldn’t love to perform just

37:38loves music she loves the spotlight stuff to do that but Egypt wants to be an actor first in an artist so me and

37:48her are a match made in heaven because I want to be an artist worse than an actor

37:53you know what I’m saying so it’s weird cuz she’s over here perfecting music and

37:59on the side I won’t be here doing my videos but I’m perfecting the art of the acting on it on the other hand you know

38:04doing the show it’s like I took about time if you guys don’t like me on the show I must be doing a damn good job

38:10cuz that’s not who I am so definitely in our future that’s

38:16something we want to do in Egypt also she’s just scored a role on a salt pepper movie coming out so I’m looking

38:23forward I’m looking forward to that like relief for her I didn’t even know that that was one of her passions so that’s

38:30gonna be amazing and the main actor like I seen in your videos man you got so

38:35much character you could bring out so they need guys we be paying attention we

38:43be on it we be on it I love it um givePeople dont know

38:50us something people don’t know about you like something that you’re good at

38:57something I’m good at that people don’t know actually can’t see I can act things

39:17thing like people say better than I rap which kind of offends me sometimes but

39:23either means you’re a phenomenal singer or a bad rap emotions to it because what

39:36people don’t know growing up I was in choir every year my life growing up without school why was I really wanted

39:41to be a singer but unfortunately I didn’t know that when you balls drop

39:47your blues changes well my boys changed I gave up on singing cuz I was like in I

39:54don’t sound nothing like you and I didn’t understand that if I trained my voice I could still do what I do right I

40:00started rapping and then once I ended up in a studio where I was allowed to you know just be creative I started

40:06retraining my voice again and start a singing so if people decide Johanna singer stop doing the rapping just sing

40:13and I’m like yeah like Rapids me down yeah

40:19see yuh give us one thing on your bucketBucket list

40:25list my bucket lists things to do before I die

40:31my bucket list is weird and different than most but simple what I want to do

40:39before I leave this world is I personally just want to make as many

40:44people in the world or like me know that they’re not alone that’s it’s simple it’s a big one but a smaller intentions

40:52I want people to know that it’s okay not to be okay and it’s okay that’s a big one man yeah

40:58I want people to know that it’s it’s truly okay to take the time to find

41:04yourself and realize that you know we grow up as kids and we dream big we

41:09dream so [ __ ] big in mm-hmm 90% of us who dream big and have these dreams they don’t like 10% of us

41:16actually continue the dream we never become what we ever really wanted to become yeah that’s the best effect

41:22that’s yeah I want to change I want to help people understand that God didn’t

41:27put us here to work a 9 to 5 you know I’m saying God put us here it’s live

41:33paradise and gave us the ability to choose give us to get the toys on to do

41:39what we want and I think where we mess up in the world is bad we think cuz people got something to say about us we

41:45can’t chase them the are we’ll never get there and that’s wrong I mean I’m an anomaly in the hip-hop industry man I

41:51was never supposed to happen if you really want me to be honest you know young boy meets rich girl there’s

41:58nothing moving man yeah yeah so happens that he’s actually good and has the passion for that like it’s a movie but

42:05it happened because I stayed consistent in what I wanted to do and I didn’t let everybody talk about me and say what

42:12they say stop me from loving what I love and saying I I still to this day man I’ve said every year I’m gonna be

42:18getting a ward at the BTS next year next year I’m gonna do this next year I’m gonna do that I remember saying as a kid like two

42:24years before I met Egypt I watched Billboard 1 December be there one day one day i’ma be there and you gonna see

42:29me on the screen everything what do you know last year I was Billboard Awards I was on screen

42:36you know that’s all I want I just want to help people have my bucket list for people to realize y’all just do you [ __ ]

42:45people do you would chase your dream more and you only got one life you might as well live it like you live twice and

42:50do what you want domine i’ma be honest with you man when

42:56I first seen you show up on the show and they said that she did music and stuff I

43:02was like what music is he do it and I was like I I want to hear what this guy sounds like and I’m being completely

43:09honest with you know no offense nothing I don’t know I was just like bro I don’t

43:14know if he’s gonna have anything good to say or if this is gonna be complete trash and then they played that first

43:21song you guys did in the studio and they played Egypt’s part through and I was like okay yeah he’s just killing it I

43:26was like what’s he gonna do and then you started rapping and I was like oh [ __ ] this disc I could really write like for

43:33real I was like nah this is serious this is not no TV stuff this guy can really and that’s what I want to go check out

43:39your music and also there because if you if you really pay attention like certain

43:46shows they’ll do that and the person be trash as [ __ ] so yeah everybody

43:53everybody call people love god yeah cross over for the longest because I

44:00feel like a lot of the people are in New York is there their trash I think that

44:05they’re not good rappers I think that they’re they fold with the trend and they say nothing personal but me as a

44:12musician lover and loved in the art of it I look at these young cats and I’m like yeah I mean I can see it hang a lotYoung artists

44:24I can see it plea weak whose father call

44:31right now you know he’s real good people back yeah pretty cool sleek cool like flea has a lot more in him if he doesn’t

44:39adjust to the new way the new age music like the new agent yeah that’s what I was about to say no I’m

44:46saying he has so much more potential you don’t got a dumb it down using Jerusalem

44:51Viet I got the problem robot is music to me it don’t speak to me I kind of I mean

45:02I do feel his music on a level like I think his music is to me I like it yeah

45:08music is that’s the best thing about music music everybody and you’ll find someone whose teenage them you know like

45:15I just look in his music and I say it sounds like something that’s already been done just you know sounds like

45:22somebody’s never done already done that style and on top of that is their longevity is that style gonna be able to

45:29last longer timeless music opposed to just here and now music swapped pepper

45:36Naughty by Nature that is timeless music right there still selling out more units

45:44more downloads more streams then the people we hear today with music they made 35 years ago true that’s true

45:52timeless music same thing paw prints all these individuals a station forget about

45:59it yeah forget about it is timeless music and that’s all I say about these guys in New York like are you really in

46:06love with music because people were in love with me is make timeless music they didn’t bury like music that is very just

46:12like yo I don’t give a [ __ ] what time it is I don’t care where I’m at [ __ ] with you

46:20if we’re coming in at 75 and ain’t none against up he comes on imma be like I

46:31just would love to cross over and children like yeah well I think your

46:38tour idea sounds great yeah you could all match up maybe I am a native New Yorker so maybe

46:44I have a solo mob but maybe that’s why I could feel his music on a certain level I don’t know the lingo and everything

46:52that’s why I’m sick they got it they found an illegal buddy

46:57natalie is definitely I guess is the

47:02different errors yes and that’s another thing it’s it’s new like you said it is a new everything more so definitely I

47:10agree with you on that 100% it’s definitely a different ballgame like a lot of people like when they hear it

47:17might hurt champagne dreams they didn’t fix a very very very detailed listener

47:24to understand and know what I like know where that sound came from you know what

47:29I’m saying like notice the beats of champagne dreams did you recognize it at

47:34all no yeah it’s my right hand there

47:44right yeah somewhat let me think let me

47:51think of the song go ahead and give me one second don’t quiz me I heard it just now didn’t you only

48:01because you said to do

48:06yes well let us to my unborn child that it I wouldn’t notice it until you said

48:12two part and I started thinking about to Fox songs but originally I did not notice that and if you peep that if you

48:18really peep the depth of the vocals in there you’ll catch that it was like am I

48:24the next Robin Williams I don’t know mate the pressure seems to grow and all the fancy people hate me it was on the term in the delivery

48:30pattern of hawks Fox yeah I have his cadence I noticed that what the original

48:37copy was done written in Eminem’s voice am i the next Robin Williams I don’t

48:43know maybe the pressure seems to go a long offense and people hate me [ __ ] to your stuff gets more drops on the daily

48:48it was Rick it was written in that flow cadence so I can respect the artistry to

48:56it I don’t know my biggest fan base yeah

49:05get the real you you want the real rappers I like thanks

49:11son Nick’s got bars yo really yes Medina from grown-up people of New

49:16York you guys see here he’s coming on this season it’s the second season I talk too loudly you need to [ __ ] go

49:23and get on it Danny got bars he was just you just dis way in the morning man yeah

49:28yeah I’m gonna check them out I gotta check them out I didn’t know that in my

49:37notes notes you put me on to someone new right now

49:44so what can we expect from you in 2020 man all right so that’s fine I got anWhat to expect in 2020

49:51[ __ ] move I’m throwing at the industry it’s gonna be dope I talked

49:56about of you excited cuz people people all see this and they’re gonna be like they’re gonna be waiting to hear about

50:02it cuz I ended up and you guys will see this season that I uh I actually was

50:11sitting down with p1 Music Entertainment which is e ones the one who does grown-up hip-hop but they also have a

50:18label and there’s a lot of no signs of this label right so I sat down with them

50:23I think they do they still won’t death rolls catalogue I think they are all

50:32onto this label so I sat down with the head A&R over there and you’ll see on

50:37the show he listens to my music he tells me that my music is it doesn’t none of

50:45it sounds the same so he basically asked me to go back to the drawing board he

50:51said he’s not saying no to signing me but he’s not saying yes so he wants to hear something so he asked three four

50:57five songs in a certain air like way you know so what I’m dropping this year is

51:02an album it’s called mainstream every track on the album is mainstream one

51:09mainstream to mainstream three mainstream boom all of them are getting

51:14to mainstream as a big [ __ ] you to make it clear I could do all the music they

51:20can do and when I say these songs are out of this old dobro like I’m in the studio right

51:29now like I can give you a snippet if you’re interested definitely one of the songs

51:38that I played around okay so if you’re listening to mainstream music what what

51:45mate what do you think mainstream music what kind of song do you think like what’s the first thing that pops in your head

51:50um trap music is really big right now uh-huh like which artist uh who’s killing any

51:58right now leak I mean I’m be honest I’m I do own music

52:03so I don’t really listen to the trap to munching um I mean it’s out there if you

52:09listen to the radio you’re gonna hear trap music you gotta hear this definitely but um I mean the baby’s been

52:17buzzing the baby’s been buzzing around yeah rich has been buzzing around

52:26so here I’ll give you a piece of what is gonna probably piss the baby off cuz I’m

52:31gonna give him a run for his money on with just this this is the first track off the tape I’ll show you guys this is

52:36a mainstream one as we called it cue it

52:42up we got the exclusive here the exclusive me cuz this track right here like I’m

52:47almost almost I wasn’t sure when people hear it they’re gonna be like okay that

52:53was hard [ __ ] this thing but that was hard bring that you know I like I did a

53:03snippet on Instagram like where I was like on my life and it was literally

53:08like I was gonna it’s like 15 minutes and I showed probably like the first 15 seconds in a song and people were just

53:15like yo that one right there that’s weird I’ll it did I was like you

53:22guys really like this lame [ __ ] this is lame to me so so this album is basically

53:29showing everyone that you can do all of that mainstream [ __ ] that you can

53:35basically go through what everybody’s doing but do you choose to do your path because

53:40that’s what you like and I choose not to just conform to the wave man cuz there’s

53:47like there’s so many people in this industry and they all say on the [ __ ] same man like ain’t y’all tired of it is

53:54not like you paying I agree I agree 100% this don’t mix with that just this is

54:00like it’s gonna be a big moment in music right now I’m really wait like you said I’m excited about this project already

54:07it’s gonna be good dear much it’s loading sorry I was in the middle of session so I had to pull up it’s alright

54:13that but just the concept of it so you’re just gonna go through all the

54:19sub-genre basically every style is gonna get something from me like I’m sitting

54:25here right now working on a track that I wanted to I mean my god we were talking

54:31about know let’s go international for a little bit alright we’re gonna do we met this guy he’s from the Dominican

54:37Republic dudes amazing is pretty big out there ankle saintil names because I want y’all to be surprised when it happens

54:43but we were like yo let’s do something that’s like you know internationalist [ __ ] man like some cardian them are

54:49doing so loads up i’ll show you what i’m editing right now this is this is called

54:55get out of my face [Music]

55:19[Music]

55:29[Music]

56:15[Music]

57:51no patient patient he got some heat so

58:02yeah you could all right you could do it I’m looking forward to this I’m looking forward to

58:08this you see but you know at the same time this is this is what we need this

58:13is what we need keep everybody on their toes keep everybody on their toes and whatever it is that you do you got to be

58:19the best at it because if somebody could come in here Territorian and knock it out the park then you got up step it up

58:25exactly and that’s the thing I just try to tell people man night for me I know

58:31nobody can come do me better because nobody sounds like me nobody does what I do nobody raps I rap nobody talks I talk

58:38you know what I’m saying so when I hear all these other people styling I’m like yeah you guys are making money you guys

58:43are doing good that’s cool that’s [ __ ] awesome man good Julian your own

58:48lane yeah well I can get over there and do exactly what you did you don’t have

58:54said I don’t understand that to me that’s wise things it’s too watered down if anybody can do it right yeah and if

59:02anybody can do it it’s not that it’s not special or not dope it’s just like

59:07anybody can do this bro and I just don’t want I don’t want anybody to think that like I play around in so many different

59:15genres of rap man like I’ll show y’all one last track this one got I’ll just show you this new hook here

59:21I grew up off of real spitting you know I’m saying we spit one from we speak

59:27like you knew like New Yorkers you got spit

59:33[Music]

1:00:55now I see why you want that tour like

1:01:10energy track yeah I already know how you are cuz see yes each president is gonna

1:01:16be crazy that performers gonna be that’s why it’s hope you may not do this [ __ ]

1:01:22for free just get along listen up to the show man get the real

1:01:30you know we’ll meet my team doing stage I’m in Atlanta man whenever you come to

1:01:37Atlanta I’m pulling up Brown bleep I mean actually we have some people begging us

1:01:45to come out we just been like what do we gonna do we don’t know the sticks out there yeah

1:01:51you know I’m saying yeah I’m out in Florida now from New York but I’m out in Florida I’ve been here for a few years

1:01:57now man I’m over here near Orlando bro

1:02:14this way just let me know whether you from Miami to Jacksonville I’m I’m up and down those eight all the time oh

1:02:21[ __ ] [ __ ] I’m pulling up to mana for

1:02:28just this might be jolt from Atlanta jolt from Orlando Miami and we were literally just like yo we’d be like five

1:02:34days there’s nothing to do what he

1:02:41wasn’t like he wasn’t linked up with the right people I do do another family they do music

1:02:47she’s chilling on the holidays well listen next time you come this way I get

1:02:55you in a studio don’t worry about Orlando as long as I might be out in

1:03:03Vegas next month my birthday’s in February oh wow that’s the same I’m

1:03:14gonna be out there I’ll make sure y’all on the list come definitely I appreciate

1:03:22that man for real you we I want so far off script I said 30 minutes but we’ve

1:03:27been vibing so crazy I’m a fun person

1:03:32just even talk and interview and anything cuz like I’m I’m more open than people think like that’s well anything

1:03:38that’s so crazy like I said earlier on my love is like you asked me because you DM you like I check my dance all day long I answer everybody’s Oh ain’t doing

1:03:45no weird [ __ ] alright alright person back I answer quick you can ask me [ __ ]

1:03:51what did you do when you were 14 I’ll be like [ __ ] [ __ ] with you man I

1:04:02appreciate y’all like bring the honest up is like a lot of people they’re too nervous to talk to me man they really think that I’m just some off

1:04:09cookie you know I’m really like I’m the most down-to-earth like I said I ain’t

1:04:15from this world from it anytime you want to come back you want to get some of

1:04:20your tests whatever we hear any tonight

1:04:26loves interviews oh yeah we’re definitely I wrong man we definitely

1:04:31know they’re not an attitude gave us the secrets we get we know what to ask

1:04:38well yeah these questions oh yeah for the for the end I like to just do a

1:04:43little thing where I run off a bunch of questions you just tell me basically like your favorites we actually a bunch

1:04:48of things like that it’s real quick real quick one two three answers and that’s

1:06:21be out there it was I think out there like I’m a big fan of food so I like to like go places with tropical spicy food

1:06:29and just live and enjoy so Brazilian is definitely on my list all right that’s

1:06:34what’s up so you said the food was your favorite food my favorite food [ __ ]

1:06:41as far as something I could eat every day yep I think alive man I could smash

1:06:48up a beard you make a beef patty every day but I swear I would destroy coconuts

1:06:58oh really yes I would drink it scoop out the guts

1:07:10different that’s the first one I ever heard for coconuts I think I’m most popular answer so far has been like hot

1:07:17wings or something like that these are good man but coconuts like coconuts

1:07:24I’ll probably get some now I’m being violent sound pretty good

1:07:29all right lead you want to finish it off which one you got over there favorite TV

1:07:42I’m a very I’m very into the flashing you you I love DC everybody you’ll see

1:07:52I’m I’m the Joker that’s my mentality that’s who I am so I dress up when I perform so the

1:09:00brother yet out weird what’s different but I liked it as a

1:09:06tone down you know movie was it it’s not a superhero movie we know that it’s a

1:09:13psychological movie I would have took and you know you talk to the person who is understand like you know mental

1:09:20health and stuff like that if you really want me to be honest I like the Jared little [ __ ] Joker better than this

1:09:33joke I could get with that I could get behind that if I mean I it’s just I

1:09:39didn’t like I didn’t like how they made him like dancing and then the makeup that he was wearing didn’t match anything that I grew up waffle of oh no

1:09:47it was definitely different it was definitely different but I do it do me

1:09:54off a little bit but I mean I still like I enjoyed the difference of it you know

1:10:00it was a not a Batman centric thing so you know for me being like and living

1:10:07every day and people knowing me as the Joker like even our cat cause my people they protect me is the job for me it was

1:10:13like looking at somebody trying to be me in the most corneas way I I could definitely see that if you check out
